Do I use the ceramic cement to hold this 'floating valve seat' to the WG? Or do I use the gasket thingies? Or do I cement the seat AND cement the gaskets? This is more confusing than I thought It'd be.

Thats called the fire ring and no, it's not cemented. It just sits in the "slot" and fills the gap between the plunger and the housing. I've never cemented anything on any car. Just use the gaskets and you should be fine.

Thank you WD Racing. However, it is a floating valve seat, that's what it is labled as in the instuctions. I've been looking at these fire rings etc... and It seems like a fire ring is a floating valve seat+a gasket. I guess the cement is to assure a better sealing of parts as a means of reducing boost leak.

Q.E.D (FVS)+(Gasket)=(Fire ring)

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gasket cement goes between gasket and the surface it's sealing. I'd be afraid of getting any cement inside the wastegate. It may interfere with the piston sealing against the valve seat/fire ring/washer looking thingie with the beveled edge...lol.

For the record, I've never used gasket cement on anything and I have never had any leak issues.

If the piston doesn't seat, you'll have a constant flow of exhaust gas leaking. If the wastegate isn't routed back to the exhaust pipe, it'll be toxic underhood fumes not to mention the temps will go way up under the hood as well.

why I'm not running the 240 daily atm, I have massive manifold leaks due to the wreck, getting one from my buddy this week. The wastegate is all but falling off and the collector has a few cracks as well as a runner or two, its fuct hope it comes with gaskets lol.
