Thinking about purchasing the JGS kit but dont really know what the best products are to actually build the rest of the kit such as fmic kit, injectors, BOV, Ecu Tuninig, etc. Looking to produce 250-275hp daily driver.

fmic- just search the for sale forum im sure there is a good setup on there someone is willing to sell pluss u might even get a bov out of it

some 550 will do u well and will give u more room for growth if u ever feel the need for more HP lol

as for tuning ive heard that empthy is the best out there or you could get a standalone AEM unit and tune ur car with that

but theres some many differnt options im sure someone else will post differnt ideas

You're really going to need to spend several hours on the forums reading through the many posts about set-ups and which brands to go with. It has taken me (and just about everyone else) quite some time figuring out what set-up to go with.Anyhow, JGS would be a good way to start. I originally planed on going with JGS' kit and FMIC w/piping kit, bov, wastegate etc etc, but they are way behind on production and taking ~4 weeks to produce a kit, and they are no longer doing the FMIC w/piping due to a high volume of orders. With that said, I've pieced together what I felt would suit my needs and allow me to finish before summer ends and school starts back up.......Here's what I'm going with to get near 300hp

Turbo: AMS GT32 Manifold: Complete EngineeringDP: JGS dp & wg set, & Megan SR20 dpWastegate: TiAL 38mmBOV: TiAL 50mmFMIC: used Greddy w/custom pipingFuel management: walbro pump, deatschwerks 555cc injectors, RS-Enthalpy ECUMisc: Apexi AVC-R boost controller, JGS oil lines, Z32 MAF, Autometer oil & boost gauges, odyssey battery, and other small items yet to purchase.....

Even with some decently priced used stuff, I'm pushing the $4100 mark. It could be done cheaper, but I've read plenty about ka-t's going boom on cheap set-ups.

according to JGS you cannot run their DP and WG setup with any manifold other than their manifold. You may want to ask them if the Complete Engineering Mani will be compatible. I called about using it on a Rev Hard or SSA and they said it will not fit properly.

the jgs kit is nice. i went with the starter kit minus wastegate and turbo. i sourced those out seperatly and cheaper which saved me $300 off the jgs price. i went with an ebay fmic 24x12x3 (140 shipped), and a 8 piece universal 2.5'' Al piping kit off ebay as well (130 shipped). the jgs stuff is quality, and they even made me a custom 4 bolt dp. it did take a while to get it, but it was worth it because i have a complete kit for $2100 including the cost for everything to make it complete. click the link in my sig and youll see the pics.

We just installed one of Lance's (JGS Precision) kits this weekend and I have to say that was the easiest kit I've ever installed on a car.

Yeah I asked JGS about their dp and wg set for use with my manifold, and they said that it probably won't work. Luckily they told me this right before I purchased it. Does any one have an idea of what to do as far as a dp form the turbo? Thanks,Alex

Find a flange that is the same pattern as your turbo . And I was doing for a while was taking pieces of funoodle (those floaty things that you get at Wal-Mart) and cut up and mock up a DP and then take it to a shop and have them weld it together. You will have to look around a bit to find on in the diameter you are looking for. I wanted to have the DP done completely before I started to install anything so I decided to just get the whole kit as they sell it, but they raised their price so I am debating the KAT... but that is a different story.

I'm planning on ordering the JGS kit, hope you keep us updated on what you plan to do. I was going to use the IAP intercooler kit but I think It mite have fitment issues so I'll make it fit. The greddy kit is used a lot so you cant really go wrong there.
