My JGS downpipe hit steering intermediate shaft.

I don't think it was like that when I installed it, otherwise I would stop and tried to play with it.

JGS told me either the motor mounts shifted, or steering rack, or the pipe warped. But he thinks the pipe warping is the least likely.

I have megan racing motor mount, can I adjust my motor position? Help on how? I had my shop installed it when they rebuild me motor.

You'll have to forgive him, he has progressive downsyndrome...

What you can do is use a spacer of somekind. Like a hockey puck or similar. Loosen the motor mounts, see where the motor sits, if its rubbing still you'll need a spacer. Although if the mounts were torqued correctly, I don't see how it shifted.

How close was it to the steering column shaft when you installed it? Do you have the transmission to downpipe bracket installed? The exhaust system puts a lot of strain on the exhaust manifold/elbow/downpipe and if you don't have good bushings along with the bracket, it can warp/bend the whole exhaust from the manifold to the downipe.

Right now it's like less than 1/8" away. I think since the crank rotates clockwise (seeing from the front of the car), the whole engine rotates the counter clockwise under heavy acceleration. So it's rubbing only when decelerating.

I have flexipe on the J-pipe, but I don't have the bracket to the transmission. I haven't tried to unbolt the J-pipe and see if it springs back. I doubt it though cause the whole exhaust system is on rubber hangers.

loosen the motor mounts from below. jack up the engine to rotate it enough and tighten bolts to get you 1/2" clear.
