I was looking at the Jet performance sight and clicked on the testimonials. There is one for a 1996 Q45.... the guy is very happy with it.

I didn't think it was possible to chip a 96.

here is the link.... http://www.jetchip.com/testimonials.htm

hey what's up fastlane....my car is at Warren Henry right now getting some TLC and a 4.08 installed. I have not heard of JetChip but for about double of the cost of a JetChip you can get a 4.08 :D I am getting the new transmission installed next week also and then I have a 500 mile break in period which will be long and tuff not to hit WOT. After that....we should get together and go for a ride to see how you like the 4.08.

NEVER trust testimonials, they're usually garbage.

Jet chip?

I have an idea, give me the money you'd spend on the Jet & I'll kick you in the groin.

Same result as installing one in your car.

Sorry to be so blunt, but blekkkk.

The few things that are not calcilated in ODB2 are speed limiter and individual gear rev limiters [soft and hard].

Beware of any claim that is not verified by repeatable data with consistently significant differences. Why so many pop chargers and loud mufflers are sold.

Dennis....If I understand you correctly, you are saying nothing is calculated.

Thanks, I was just curious. It sounds like a 4.08 rear end and a level ten Transmission and torque converter is the way to go for OBD2.

We will have to go for a ride in my car once it is all put together. I think that you will like the 4.08 option.

With a real five or more speed automatic and an appropriately programmed TCU, the 4.08 would be interesting, but it would increase engine revolutions too much on the highway and increase operating expenses too much for my purposes. Stoplight to stoplight or corner to corner though, the 4.08 should shine.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

I just did a nice 120mph blast down the 101 last night - doesn't affect rpm's enough to impact my decision at ALL.

The roll-on acceleration from about 10 mph is SOOOO sweet.

My statement was an opinion, not subject to being validated nor discredited.

I've had one before, if that counts.

Now for my Nissans/Infinitis, I run JWT, for good reason.

Sorry if you didn't like my humor.
