I talked to the FBI and secret service. Their advice was to end all communication and destroy the check -- not even try cashing it. Its so widespread, and they believe its all coming from one place.
Imagine all the stolen cars in some foreign country, where a couple ***holes are printing out fake checks and laughing their asses off.
