It was kick arse meeting most of ya'll at Carlisle, PA for NICOfest/Performance+Style-- now it's time to continue the good times and gatherings with a weekend at the JERSEY SHORE!

The plan is to rent a beach house on the Jersey shore for a weekend.

Checking out the rides, swimming, chillin on the beach, drinking, partying, card games, BBQ, and making fun of those with a 2.5-- ya know, the usual!!!

So, vote up your choice and post comments and ideas about what we should do, when we should go, where we should stay, etc

Let's get this going!!!

The farther in advance you do it, the better the turnout will be IMO... I would do it sometime in mid august so the locals who go away to school can still come out.

I would be in pending price or may just come and sleep in my car lol

The party everynight will be at the house and if you want in, ya gotta pay your share for the weekend or simply have a really good excuse to only make it a single day.

We'll work out pricing but basically everyone would paypal/send money to LBC, myself, or whomever wants to book the place. Of course, I would recommend it be a moderator so folks feel safe sending their cash.

Sounds good, let's do it up!

Know any decent rentals down there? When all is said and done I'm guessing total 15-30 people.

Seaside is better than belmar, and WiILDWOOD trumps em both but its a significantly longer distance from the brooklyn squad (and i think the rest of you too)...

Either way I am more than happy to be the "middle man" and book the thing for you guys pending I get the money from you... I would sugguest sending me a check instead of paypal though, who needs to pay them 4% save that for having fun!

i dont know about single houses for 15-30 people being rented by the weekend, they might exist but i know squat about it. whenever i go down with large groups, we find a smaller cheap motel and book as many rooms as we need to the point where like 80% of the hotel will be rented out by us so they never say no as long as the rooms are available. and since we got 80% of the rooms and we're not associated with any sorta prom (they hate prom kids) and we're legally of age, we dont get bothered by cops or anyone really and we party out on the balcony. we just takeover small motels, f*** houses haha

For me it depends on how far away it's going to be from MD and/or Brooklyn. Once details are available, I'll be able to give you a yes or no.

When I was younger my friends & I would rent a shore house in Wildwood every summer & work down there. The best! Every summer we'd spend all day laying on the beach, get cleaned up & go to work for a few hours in the evening (I waitressed @ a pizza shop on the boardwalk & used to make a killing bc ppl on vacay are relaxed & good tippers!) then go out after work & party every night w/ diff ppl we had met that were on vacay that week. Ahhhh...the good ole' days! lol

I'm interested depending on which wknd it's gonna be. I've never been to any of the North Jersey shores, but none of them are very far from me. I've heard Seaside is a lot of fun! I actually heard it's better than Wildwood.

No way, wildwood's boardwalk is like 2x the size of seaside, and I personally feel its a "cleaner" and nicer area... With a slightly higher class of patron going there.

Wildwood FTW... I also think the motel idea is best as it puts the responsibility on each individual, and doesnt ruin plans if someone backs out etc...

wildwood is much cleaner, more relaxed, and has a nicer clientel, yes. but seaside is dirty, has tons of people our age, cheap cheap drinks at bars, and stupid reckless kids everywhere taking the attention off the over-21 more mellow, mature crowd that still wants to have fun. and that is why i love seaside

i think the beach house is a bad idea but having a bunch of hotel rooms sounds like a good idea. Ive been to wildwood and it is 10 times cleaner but it is geared more towards children and families. There are tons of bars in seaside. The board walk is full of them. Seaside or point pleasant.

Im down for getting loaded, i always am lol

So get a real car. I kid.

Sorta.

Anyways, mid-august sounds good for me. Also, just for ease of organizing, I'm liking the hotel thing more than the beach house. We might be able to get a group rate, but more importantly, we don't have to worry about triangularing funds or watching out for free-loaders. If you pay, you get a bed. If you don't, you don't.

With "the stupid reckless kids everywhere" comes STUPID KIDS ACTING RECKLESS... I would rather not have to worry about fighting, cars getting broken into etc... Im not really a drinker, so its not an issue for me..

Last time I stayed in Seaside with a group was when I was 18 (damn I am old) and I wound up walking around shirtless for the 2nd half of the night because I gave my shirt to a friend after his nose was broken and was bleeding all over.

I am down for any place you guys decide, but be warned.... Seaside after 11pm is where "stupid kids are acting reckless".

why didnt you go back to the room for another shirt? it gets cold at the beach at night.

What happen to your friend? When i was down there last time, i saw kids acting like dip sh**s at all hours of the day. Its kinda like jail down there. Just keep your mouth shut and all should be fine.

We also have darryl and andy to protect us. Haha ok just dangeris.

Dude, in the summer, you can blind fold me with dental floss

Honestly though, It's been awhile since I've been to any shore. The last time I was at Seaside heights was probably early 90's and wildwood...Senior week of 85. That's when I was sporting long hair, kamikaze half shirt and parachute pants (You can stop laughing now )
