The pedoph:le gets 30-60 years for molesting 45 young boys. Considering his advanced age, I'm sure that even 30 years will ensure he dies behind bars, I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping he would get the max. I know no one can serve 400+ years, but it sure sounds good.

Sandusky will continue to spend the next 10 days in county jail, where he has been in solitary confinement since the verdict. His defense team believes he'll end up in a minimum-security prison because of his age and lack of a violent history. While Sandusky has been in isolation at the Centre County Detention Center, he has expressed an interest in serving out his prison time among the general population.

Prison officials will consider what risk Sandusky – a convicted sexual predator – would be under if left alone among the other inmates, even at one of the less-violent facilities.

What's creepy is that he wasn't just a low-end chi-mo hanging out near a playground. He had an entire apparatus of notoriety, fame, respect, and trust that allowed him to carry on for years.

He gave an entirely remorseless statement that basically taunted his victims.

Sentencing was today. The judge gave him 30-60 years. He will be 98 years old when he is first eligible for parole. His lawyers also plan to appeal. The statement Jesda was talking about is eerie as hell. The man is so demented that he doesn't actually believe that what he did was wrong. He actually accused all of the victims of conspiring against him for their own personal gain. He is one twisted mother f-er.

the sad thing is that if he ends up in minimum security, among gen pop, nothing at all will happen to him. minimum security is mostly full of short-timers, or those on their way back to the free world. no one will want to catch another charge, extending their stay, over his sorry a**.

could just be my southern upbringing, but how is there not a death sentence for guys like this???? The amount of emotional and physical damage he caused is unbelievable! It sickens me that even behind bars this scumbag will be breathing the same air I do. As others have said, I hope Sandusky gets a lethal dose of jailhouse justice. I think that was the interview with Bob Costas. I watched a good deal of it and remember his response. Turned it off later because I couldn't stand his sick self.

He's appealing Penn State's decision to revoke his retirement. The bastard actually thinks he should still collect his annual $59,000 check. Dude needs to DIAF

His lawyer's comment:

Rominger argued in part that since Sandusky wasn't convicted of molesting a Penn State student, the forfeiture law does not apply to him. Sandusky's young victims came to him through The Second Mile, his charity for troubled youth.

Then I read about Joseph E Duncan, a man from the northwest who raped several boys, murdered children, and tortured them. He committed his final murders not long after I moved away from the region.

It's quite a paradox. We send creeps to prison while prison only makes them worse.
