Hi Everyone,

I have a 06 Infiniti m35x with 28K Miles on it. When driving the vehicle in automatic mode the transmission shifts perfectly and smooth. However, when i drive it in manual mode and i shift gears, it jerks on every gear change. I am shifting at around 6000 rpm coz i love to bag the s*** out of the car. Have you guys noticed this problem at all?

Please let me know your comments.

Yep. I'm not happy with how the manual mode works either. Very slow shifts I think.

No idea what can be done about that, probably would require a reprogram.

I have 29k on my M45 and the transmission tends to shift violently when the vehicle is cold. Cold as in driving the car first thing in the morning with the engine warmed up. Infiniti does have a tsb about hard shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear and I told my dealer about it. They couldnt duplicate the concern like always so I'm just gonna deal with it.As far as manual mode there will be a slight delay when your are upshifting. It will jerk more when you upshift on light throttle and gets less jerky on more WOT. If its bothering you then first thing to do is check the transmission fluid located behind the engine held in place with a 10mm bolt. Always check on a level ground with the car fully warmed up. Cycle through the gears first before checking.

Thank you guys for your comments and suggestions. It is a bit strange why auto is smooth and manual is jerky. I thought i was just a crappy shifter, but with these triptronic stuff there isn't much to it.

I'll check the transmission fluid.

I have noticed that also with the G loaner cars that I have driven.

I will upshift at high RPM 6K or so, and then the transmission still hangs out in the old gear, before it finally shifts, causing the jerkyness you describe.
