recently bought a auto s14 and when i shift it into reverse or drive it jerks a little before i let off the brakes would this be caused from shot motor mounts or could this be caused by smashed subframe bushings?

This actually happened to me on a different car. but i figure that the answere might be he same. what my problem was, was, that my motor mounts where shot. when i switched gears (auto) the change would be fine but when i let go of the brake the engine would jerk and that would be it. no mechanical problems. I ended up fixing my motormounts. or replaced them and that fixed the problem. Nismo motor mounts are the best way to go. I think that the bushing might also be a problem but I personally would go with motor mounts first. since ive tried it.

ok good luck. keep that s14 alive and well peace.

rollout.
