ok i searched it and couldn't find anything about the ecu upgrades sold in the sport compact verstion of jegs catalog. *done by a company called jet* I'm not sure if this jet company is reputable or not but supposedly in the catalog it says you just take your ecu out mail it to jet and they upgrade it and mail it back and you get a "up to 32 hp boost"* i know i most likely wouldn't get THAT much*. They do this for about $230. so what i was mainly asking was if anyone had done these before or maybe knows anything about jets quality. Also is the price a good price for something like this, and is it even worth it. this is for a '90 ka24e fastbackthanks for all who reply

Jet chips for a KA24DE (13 or S14) ECU are a scam...they eliminate the governor, but that's IT.
No power increase.
To "chip" a KA ECU, you have to solder on a daughterboard with a eprom socket, and burn a new chip. Jet does NOT do this.
Jim Wolf (JWT) is the only reputable ECU program to buy, aside from BikiRom (install and tune yourself).

And sorry about not calling you. I fixed my car, it was the fuel pump. Kinda weird but im glad its back working again. You have to check out my exhaust too, its awesome

I have a sohc ka24e jet tune, kind of odd that the eprom had never been removed Tune is stock.
I have given out a good ka24e NA tune for free at eccs.hybridka.com . Due to some increase in interest, I have been finishing up on the NA4 and will be posting it soon. These are better than JWT tune.
