Does anyone use these pistons? My plan was garret t3/t04e 57 trim 63 a/r, eagle rods, stock head, eGay mani(reinforced of course), deatschwerks 650's, z32 MAFS, and enthalpy tune. Will going over .020 more make that much of a difference or should i just go with .020 pistons?

Why are you worried about a rebuild now? The stock block can handle boost fine, you dont have to get into the bottom end on your first build. Also, a 50 trim turbo suits our engines better, and has a greater efficiency range.

Id stick with .20 over, its not enough of a difference to warrant the risk involved.

I wouldn't go over anymore than you have to. The cylinder walls are already bored off center for the most part on KA's. So going over 'might' make it a bit thinner. Or it might not. I would only bore it if it 'needs' to be bored.

Well i bought the car with a rod knock, so now seems to be a good time to build the bottom end. The 50 trim is noted, thanks! I was thinking just .020 over would be sufficient, just checking before i bought anything!

Don't go with the over bore unless you have to!!

It's not really necessary. Take the block to a machinist, have them check the cylinders for roundness, and check the walls for any imperfections. The ridge at the top can be taken out with a hone if that's of any issue. Or taken all the way out with a bore. But I'm telling you, don't bore it unless you have to. But it's personal preference, so it's up to you.Same goes for decking the block too. If it's not warped, don't worry about it. And check the line as well.

Ok thanks, I was under the impression that over boring was a smart thing to do if you are rebuilding an engine??? I don't know, but thanks for your help.
