I have had this car in my garage for a month and a half I removed the old engine purchased a JDM switched over intake valve covers exhaust and everything else I now have no spark no fuel the only thing I can see different is the crank sensor mine is located at the flywheel and the JDM motor is located at the front crank pulleyI believe this is my problem if anyone has had experience with this please help I have communication with my ECM I believe, because I can capture live data and any DTC I currently do not have DTC the only thing out of the ordinary is a 63 degree spark advance. am I supposed to hardwire the crank sensor harness to the JDM front mounted crank sensor?

I have not done a swap with a jdm engine, so I probably cannot help with the actual wiring, but yep, you have to have the crankshaft position sensor hooked up and sending a signal to the ecm.

Here's a little blurb off another website:

Missing Crank Signal

If the crank sensor completely fails, the computer can no longer calculate engine speed. When this occurs, the ignition system and the fuel system shut down causing the engine to crank and not start or to stall if the engine is running.

My JDM engine used the crank sensor at the same position as the stock motor (at the small gear near the flywheel)

I think that is your problem, post pics, your motor has got to have the same location

I have already placed the crank sensor at the flywheel and I have are rpm showing on the scanner so I'm receiving data from the sensor but I'm still not receiving the right pick up like I said it has a 63 degree advanced spark but today I'm going to check the voltage on all the sensors to make sure they're still good did you have to reprogram your ECM to the new motor and how come you were blowing engine control fuses

I was not blowing any fuses at all, that was another person in that thread, I had no issues dropping my motor in and using all the existing wiring, only thing I had to switch was my oil cooler from my original engine as the jdm engine had just a block off type plate. I didnt have to do any procedure to get the car to run either.
