kid i purchased car from (this is in a 92 g20) but should apply across the board , its a JDM swapped sr20de with 10:1 compression and advanced timing to 17*....kid says he only ran 93 octane and that if i run 87 then i should plan on buyin a spare motor...as in..itll destroy the motor..is this true? i cant neccisarilly afford to run 93 all the time especially in an NA car when its not "needed"

gimme some opinions

10:1 deff needs more than 87. stop being cheap, its at most a 3-4 dollar difference between 87 and 93 for a full tank.

LayNLow layin' down the law. Very true. 10:1 is pretty high, run high octane, none of that 87 stuff for a high comp unless you plan on another engine swap soon.
