Thats a lot of engines. Was the SR20VET produced by nissan? or is it just a SR20VE+T? What car came equiped with that machine?

Anyone which SR20DE had the 10.1 compression or something like that? I know the US SE-R's had the 9.5:1.

I just purchased my engine from soko. Theyre sending an JDM SR low port but i forgot whats the compression ratio on it. I asked him about the compression test and he said their 128 or better??? I thought SR20's were rated at 178 or higher? he said it would go up a little higher when everything like the electricals and such were all hooked up.

U.S. actually had two SR's.

The 91-99 SR20DE was ~140 HPThe 00-02 SR20DE was ~145 HP

The 00-02 used roller rockers with reduced frictional loss to give it the extra 5 HP.

The G20t does not have a SR20DET, its just a trim level, still has the SR20DE.

no such thing as a 270sx, unless your talking about the japan-only 270R by nismo. Special editions dont count because there is no way in hell you will ever get one.

the "t" stands for touring package, which is infiniti talk for upgraded suspension. There is a Q45t as well. And a I30t. None of them are turbo from the factory.

No such thing as a FWD SR20DET, all the motors came with AWD trannies. GtiR produces 230bhp, Blue Bird(atessa) 205bhp. The newer SR20DET is referred to as an Avenir, has ball bearing T25 and doesn't come with a TMIC. GTiR is a hassle to tune and pain in the *** to get parts for. There is also a FWD SR20DE (Primera) 150bhp.

Too much work.....way too much.. just look under the sentra and imagine a drive shaft running to the rear end, the exhaust redone, what type of rear end you going to use, etc, etc..

Does the SR20DET come with forged internals?

How long do the turbos last on these engines?

No forged internals, just lower compression pistons, GTiR (8.3:1) Blue Bird (8.5:1). GTiR has 444cc injectors, T28 turbo and quad throttle bodies. Blue bird has 370cc injectors, T25. Both motors have piston oil squirters. The turbos are normally good for 50-75K miles or more. Just depends on the abuse put on the turbo.

^ Dude all altima (bluebirds) with SR20DET are fitted with attessa AWD system. No FWD DET ever rolled off a Nissan assembly line.
