Hello,

I own European market 1996 Nissan 200SX S14. A month ago I completely blew my engine. I purchased JDM market S14 blacktop SR20DET engine. I will fit it with GT28RS turbo. Right now I don't have enough money to purchase a front mount intercooler. How much psi I can safely run with my current setup and what is approximately the max bhp I can reach? I have full 3 inch exhaust with free flow muffler, custom downpipe, large cone air filter, automter boost and a/f ratio gauge, stronger exedy clutch, but stock side mount intercooler, stock fuel pump and everything else is stock.

About 10 psi, I would upgrade your fuel pump.

It's cheap insurance.

The factory fuel pump is so weak? It cannot handle 10psi?

maybe he forgot your car came stock with turbo, but fuel pumps are pretty cheap.

Yes, European market S14 200SX has SR20DET engine from factory. Factory SR20DET fuel pump should be ok with 10psi? In US you guys swap KA series engine for SR20, and KA fuel pump is weak, so maybe that's why everybody in the US recommends to change the fuel pump asap after SR20 swap.

Yeah I think your right, you could also get a s15 sidemount they are thicker than the normal sidemount I see them on ebay from time to time. I ran 10 psi for quite awhile on my sidemount but that was just the stock t25.

Yea but like stated above by Nismo_Freak it cheap insurance. I mean c'mon its under $100 for a Walbro. Just do it.
