JDM S14 Climate Control

I bought a JDM climate control off ebay under the premise that it was plug and play, but it's not. Does anyone know what is required to make it work? I was told I may need an actuator or sensor for it.

You'll need the following:1) sunload sensor and the defrost trim it mounts in2) ambient cabin temp sensor and the trim it mounts in3) complete rewire of the US mode, heat mix, bi-level, and intake door motors4) fan control module (the US fan switch controls speed, the JDM uses a secondary controller)5) necessary thermo amps and resistors6) ALL wiring to all these components, or at least the plugs to run your own wires7) the JDM ECU to run the a/c compressor. (lol)

Good luck getting that stuff...At this point in time you are better off selling it to someone else who is uninformed as well. Doing the digital HVAC swap on s13's or s14's using the KA and US wiring is damn near impossible.

That dang sure wasn't the responce I was hoping for!! I plan on swapping an RB first of the year, which is going to require major rewiring anyways, maybe I'll try to get those other parts and try it out. Can't hurt, and as hard as it sounds it'll give me great bragging rights and points at the shows. Anyways, thanks for you help SWIFT:thinker

I'll buy it off you... Always looking for a wiring challenege. And swift, have you found out whether or not I need a relay for my mirrors?

well, I think I'm going to try it out myself. Mine is for an S14 anyways. You can find them all day long on ebay for the S13 and S14. I have seen some go for less than $50. I still haven't seen one though that had more than just the display with it.
