I recently bought a JDM z32, recently found out about the parking pole (previously I had no idea what the thing that looks like an extra antenna up front was) when I flip the switch for it I can hear a click both at the pole itself/bumper and under the steering column.

However that's all that happens, no movement. I was able to pull the end with the light out an inch or so and it was not lit up.

After I was able to pull the light part out and re-collapsed it, I can now here the motor going when I flip the switch, no moment on the pole though .

Is there a fuse anywhere I should check? Or do I need to take the bumper off and dig around back there? Wd40 the telescoping bits? Any help or ideas are appreciated.

I'd assume it functions just like a power antenna. If you're hearing something happen, the fuse is fine.

I'd pull the unit and disassemble it. Could be the nylon teeth / gears are shagged.
