Im just curious to try and relate this to my experiences.

I just got a Blacktop SR20DET from them. Nesar is the main guy over there, he is a little slow getting back to you on e-mails and pictures some times but he does send you pictures of engines. He sent me a bunch of pics of different engines and even sent me a side mount intercooler for my engine which I don't need or order but it was free, they also hooked me up with shipping to a residendial address, I have not gotten the engine started yet because of wiring problems but it looks in very good condition.

No thats ok, Im tired of the calling him back and going "hey....did you get those pictures?" then calling like 4-5 hours later "hey....did you get those pictures?" then calling back the next day... "hey....did you get those pictures?" then 4 hours later.... "hey....did you get those pictures?". Its just kind of rediculous in my opinion. I guess other people like that kind of service. Everytime he said "OH Yea, ill get them out to you in 20 minutes." or "Yea ill send them out shortly".

So im gonna buy my motor else where. Im sure they have good motors. But ill go to a more reliable IMO place and cheaper at that.

yea i was in the market recently to get a blacktop sr long block. Talked to probably a dozen or more importers and majority were like that. One guy send me a pic of a s15 engine when i clearly asked for a s13 blacktop. There were guys that just sounded like they just couldnt be trusted. Finally found a guy who knew what he was talking about. Vincent at jrautoparts.com. Prices are awesome and emails you back within one or two hours. Very busy guy but still awnsers his phone.

Youre making a $2000 plus dollar investment. I mean I want some reassurance that its gonna be well spent not, like hey i didnt.....uh...forget about you...what did you want?

I want my money to go to someone i trust and I just didnt recieve a warm fuzzy feeling i guess. I felt neglected after 2 days of no reply. So...I went with my first choice.

If your nervous, I would not go to jdm-online. Nesar is definitly not proactive in his business dealings. I ordered my engine in November and did not get it until January. It took a lot of phone calls and even more patience in dealing with jdm-online and the seemingly airheaded Nesar(I say airheaded because damn is he forgetful). The icing on the cake was the turbo on the motor is dead, center section will cut your finger if you try to spin it. I was later told that they tried to spray wd-40 into the turbo to make it easier to spin. I was later promised a new one from Nesar and I never recieved it. Not a huge deal, i had an S15 turbo waiting to go on but again, it goes back to the principle of customer support/relations, and these guys suck in that area.

To their credit compression was good on all 4 cylinders when I got the engine installed.
