Did my JDM mirror install last night, but didn't want the view in the mirrors to be all screwy. I had read that you can swap the glass, but everything will still be a little off, since the housings are angled differently. I had never heard or seen of anyone putting the internals from the JDM mirrors into the USDM housings. Turned out to be pretty simple, just take apart the JDM housing, taking note of how it was assembled, then put the stuff from it into the US housing. The only part that was a PITA was removing and replacing all the pins to be able to pull the wiring out of each housing. Here's a vid.

It's the USDM glass and actuator, and the JDM folding motor all crammed into the USDM housing. I bought the switch from a guy in the classified forum and got the actual mirrors from a friend. JHot was gonna junk 'em cause the housings were all busted up. They gave them to my friend and I traded him a Nissan shirt for 'em. You can usually find 'em on eBay, but they're kinda pricy. Good luck and if you need any help with 'em, my AIM is TheLines02.

Are they thing where you push the switch in next to the ciggerette lighter, and it folds the complete mirrors in ?? i find it very useful, and if i do it fast enough when i'm driving, it actually looks like i'm flying

You need the wiring out of the JDM housing too, but yeah, that's basically what I did. The best way to do it is try to find some busted up housings and swap the stuff over. I just used the FSM to figure out how everything went together. I was gonna do a write-up, but once I got into it, everything was pretty much common sense.
