dudealex posted this picture a week or so ago. I was searching around for these headlamps or at least something similar, but I didn't get any results. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm also curious to know if it comes as a complete kit with the HIDs or if it is just the housing.

In Japan, there are a few companies that make and sell the HID kits for the Tiida. Those are usually complete valve and circuitry kits. There is a company called Sanyo Technica that makes them, although I cannot really tell how good they are. Another source is a big Japanese auto parts chain called Autobacs. They sell just about anything related to automobile. Here is their link in English:

I am sure that they are HID's......most HID's utilize a projector to focus the beam

Cash in hand and 240sx contacts will be contacted as well if you need help getting them in.

HID upgrades with projectors are big in my book and worth the money. I would pay 1k from the dealer if they allowed you to get the HID alone without getting a better model car.

Shame that VW makes you get the GL line of cars before you can get HID.

Hahahhaa almost there. Maybe if you darkened them just a bit to show they were off.

Hey Stan once I figure out how to open the damn @$$ stock headlight assemblies, I will show you my finished product, and you can let me know if you would be willing to pay me a lil bit +parts to do you a set, as $1000 would be more than enough unless you want top quality projectors off of a TL or S2K those are $300-$400 alone.

every trick in the book! bake em, cut the houding which I got halfway and realized the other half can't be done with all the lines the headlight has, heat gun, and just try to get all the silicone out since Nissan didn't have Hella use Butyl on these headlights for some reason.

No butyl? What did they use to keep them watertight then? Everything has to be made difficult on this car...

Kryptonite. This would explain why they are so hard for clipsed to get them opened.

This car is starting to remind me of the older Fords and Compaq computers. They made it so difficult to work on their cars (with special screw heads and odd bolts) that you had to bring in the vehicles to get brake pads changed. Compaq used to put, unnecessary pieces of metal and plastic across the chassis of their computers so non Compaq techs would find them very difficult to work on.

Won't work, it melts the housing and bubbles the lense, and does jack $4*t to the silicone, except once you start melting everything else nicely and it is starting to deform, the silicone starts to melt, and that is not worth getting the lense off.

I have a feeling chemicals would eat away at the housing and lense, and quite possibly if not, fog the lense up.

Plan A would be to find a set of oem headlights off of a tiida that had hid.

Plan B I would do the install myself on a set of junkyard headlights.

Also Hella sells projectors brand new projectors for projects like this.

I haven't started to do the research on the projectors but what makes these crappy?

IMHO

Plan A, scrap that

Plan B, in progress.

Hella projectors, ok.

Not crappy, but compared to others, they are not as good. Best projectors in stock form are S2000 (low beam only) and TL (Bi-xenon) but they range from $300-$400+, if you want even better, you can do hybrids.
