I know this may get moved to the for sale section but these are all CA specific parts and I'd hate for them to get lost in f/s section.

Anyway, here's what I've got:

- very low miles JDM CA FWD 5-speed transmission. Originally came from an '88 Bluebird. The master and slave cylinders and lines are included. Also have shifter w/levers for a KN13 to match the transmission. $100- New radiator for Pulsar w/CA18DE $50- Very nice A/C compressor for a CA18DE $50, mount is available also (no charge if you buy the compressor). Can get pics if you need them.

If you're interested, lemme know. I'm in San Antonio, TX so shipping on the transmission may be a biatch, would depend on where you are.

To give you an idea how little use the motor and trans have seen, here's a pic of the motor I took soon after I got it. No, the motor is not for sale. It's going into an '86 Corolla GTS.

Do you know any specs on that transmission?

Does it have a LSD?Output slines the same as FWD Pulsar CA transmission?Gear ratios?

It has the same splines as a Pulsar, 24 splines. It does NOT have an LSD.

Gear ratios? I don't know but boost_boy might. We had talked about this transmission some time back. If I remember, he said it has taller gears than the USDM version. It may have a top gear ratio of 0.73 and a final drive ratio of 3.89.

I know the RS5-F50A in the USDM Pulsars has the following gear ratio:1st - 3.2852nd - 1.8503rd - 1.2724th - 0.9545th - 0.795Rev. - 3.428Final Gear Ratio - 4.471

But this transmission is only marked 85M15. Just FYI but while I was looking it over I noticed the flywheel and pressure plate still have all the original machining pattern on them....friggin' crazy. Also, the transmission mount you see in the pick is in "like-new" condition, speedo cable is there also.

That would be a dream for me since my transmission is on the way out (i think)... It would probably be cheaper for me to drive way down there and pick it up than to send it up here to Canada =/

In case anyone is wondering, I believe this transmission to be non-vlsd. Just in case, here's a pic that should tell.

There was a transmission with a viscous LSD in Japan, but finding one of those right now will be interesting; let alone finding axles. That transmission Myetball has a better final drive than that of the pulsar, I know that much. Can't find my notes with its ratio, but it is very identical to that of the pulsar's gearing. One helluva price for such rare piece. All my trannies are custom, so it will just be taking-up garage space.

not to threadjack, but join in at the ae86 + ca thread, im also on the threashold of doing this, but for now, after i get the 4age head back from teh machine shop, i will just stick on a t28... then a bit down the road a CA goes in

do you already have parts sourced for the swap? (motor mounts and driveshaft are the only custom deals as far as i know, i havnt done barely any research into it yet, as i wont be doing it until my ca20 is built this summer

Yes I did price it cheap. Figured any higher and nobody would buy it. I've been buying parts for older cars long enough to know. I'm pretty cheap myself.

As far as the CA powered AE86 goes. I've got almost everything I need to swap a CA into just about anything. Yes, the motor mounts will need to be custom made and a custom driveshaft is in the future. We can make the motor mounts, my welding skills are getting better all the time but the driveshaft we'll send out to get made up.

Added a part to the list.

BUMP

If no takers within a week all this stuff goes to the scrap yard. My garage is too crowded to keep hanging on to this stuff.

Yep, it's sold. Along with CA fwd mounts, shifter, and radiator.
