I'm keeping the car for sure so it's going to be done. (Just look at it, it's beautiful!!

) The major issue I'm going to run in to is WHAT I'm going to have done when the engine is pulled. It will cost me about $2K to have the engine pulled and the cams, springs and gears installed... that's just labor.
If they have to change the ECU and rewire everything, it's going to cost a small fortune. I've seen those wiring harnesses and they look like a PITA to work on/with.
This would be a great time to do everything else, turbos, 2.5" piping, 3" down pipes, intercoolers, exhaust manifolds... etc.. But I don't have that much money to throw at it. I may have the engine pulled twice, so I'm trying to decide on what I want to have done this first time.

I wrote Greg today and this was the response I got:
You want to have functional VTC to have a good power band.
Here is what would be required to make it all work as plug and play.......
JWT 500 cams
JWT HD valve Springs
BDE early VTC Sprocket pair
Early VTC front cover plate pair with hardware (used)
VTC O-rings
JWT Cam adaptors
JWT VTC springs
VTC solenoid Right
VTC solenoid Left
Wiring specialties ECU harness
Early used ECU
Socket and program ECU
Intake Valve Cover gaskets
Pair Upper manifold gasket
I removed the prices he quoted me... it's actually not going to cost as much as I had feared.
