JDM engine depot

hey i'm from PA and it seems that the closest engine importer is JDM engine depot in NJ. My friend told me about them but i really haven't heard anything about them. has anyone ever had any experience with them? i plan on driving down in a truck to pick up a redtop, and i don't want to waste my time or money if they're no good.

I got my redtop from them about 4 - 5 months ago. It was dirty when I first went to look at it, but they sprayed it with the chemical and it came out shinning. Got it home opened it up did headgasket, studs, etc on it. Started right up no knock nothing has been running strong for about 2 months now with no problems. They're pretty cool guys there; just do a compression test on the engine before hand.

Other people have had bad experiences with them though that have been posted on here recently. I guess it's all just about what you get.

They are OK. They have the good motors and bad motors. U get what u pay for!!! i know people who have gotten SR20 from them good and bad. Hondas same thing. They are USED motors and so expected to have problems They cam out of a junk car or a car and you will have no way of knowing why it was removed weither crash or just body falling apart. Expect to have problems that way when u get the motor where ever it is from u will be ready. I planned on rebuilding it once i got it so i knew what was wrong.
