ok, i know on my '96 maxima i once did a mod that allowed for the corner lights (next to the headlights) to shine at high wattage all the time. it went something like this.... 1) take fingernail clippers and snap off the higher positioned nub off the bulb 2) using electrical tape, cover the hole 3) reinsert the bulb, this time positioning the lower of the nubs into the higher nubs bracket

very simple, very quick, very cheap mod. nothing big or dramatic. it just allowed for your corner bulb to shine at high wattage ALL the time, not just when you had a turn signal on. i liked this mod because of the extra light being put off at night. now here is the problem. since my jdm conversion healights i have tried a few times to duplicate this mod with my '99 maxima. however, to no avail. can anyone make any suggestions or know of a way to fix this so i can have my brighter corners in the cifero's??

well the ones i had were like a dual filament. i knew how to modify the bulbs, which was really quick and easy. i thought since they were the same bulbs and the "brackets" they fit into looked the same as well that i could simply re-do them to work with the ciferos. apparantly not, cause when i reinsert them into the housing after clipping the nubs, they will no longer light up at all. any ideas?

does anyone know much about hid's? im thinking about getting an "ignited hid" kit and installing them for my headlights and foglights. what would be a good temp to run into? i saw that they offered a 3000K, 6000K, 8000K and a 12000K kit. does each different temp have a different color? each kit is sold by bulb application and for my cifero h4 bulbs the price are the same for either kit....so why not get the 12000K?? and then look for some higher wattage piaa's for the corners. any ideas/suggestions??
