is it 2.5"inch or 3" ? if it's 3" you will lose TQ but you have will hp gaining. A 2.5" won't hurt your kae.

2.5" for a SOCH. Believe me you will regret it if it's bigger. Single valve exhaust systems that are naturally aspirated hate 3".You also won't pass emissions with a 3".

depending the pipings and diameter it should be okay. oh yeah, that's true emission with 3" wont pass you. but over here in TX since 240 are old we don't have to care about emission.

^^^ I've seen some dyno graph that shows a kade that made more tq and hp throughout the entire power band with a 3" compared to a 2.5" just with some bolt-ons

that's not entirely true, i bought a 3in cat back and high flow cat on my sohc, and passed emmisions with flying colors. The only thing that i noticied was a bump up in hp and tq, but less gas mileage. But i leave the silencer in and the gas milage went back up as well and gaining a little more hp and tq. All the emmisions is looking for is if the cat converter is working properly.
