If what i heard is totally true, then the altima coupe will have no JDM parts whatsoever. The A/C is only being released to Northern America, so with that being said.. Im wondering if this car is basically American researched/made under teh name of Nissan. Also, one quick question to throw in.. When putting a short shifter in on a car, the length of the shifting shaft doesnt decrease right? I think the stock stick is wayy to high and want a shorter one to have a sportier feel.. IE g35.

I'm an automatic guy, but I've always been jealous of how sweet short-shifters look. That being said, I agree w/ chow in that the A/C's manual stick is too high. It just doesn't look all that sporty.

According to Motor Trend http://www.motortrend.com/road...coupe/ (second paragraph) and a few other sites I've seen, the a/c was designed in Japan despite being sold and made exclusively in North America.

I think the function of short shifters is to shorten the throw between gears, but it does seem like most also shorten the shifter rod (I could be wrong, haven't ever installed one). I'm hoping they come out with a short-shift kit for the a/c myself.

Most short shifters on the market do not shorten the length of the shifter just the throws of the gear. You could always cut it down to size if your really daring
