Hi Guys,I need your input. I have a pair of front JDM 180SX brakes. I know they are little larger than stock 240SX, but are they worth putting on? If I do put them on, what will I do in the future in terms of replacing the brake pads and rotors since they are different size than the 240SX nor the Z32? Thanks in advance!

Same year Altima calipers / pads are ideal.Compare (measure) at the parts store the rotor diameters and widths too.Good fun..

For reference, I had 180sx suspension, brakes, and drivetrain on my car and the brakes are really nothing substantial over stock non-abs brakes.Keep in mind I'm comparing used 180sx components to new 240sx pieces. So for the most part, to have them on your car is worth it if you want to be able to say you have 180sx brakes(which are larger/more swept area)

Thank you! Well, my stock brakes are now about 200,000 miles, so probably will not hurt to replace them with the 180SX ones, no? What year Altima rotors/pads should I look for in the future?

Larger rotors and brake pads = larger swept area = better heat dissipation = LESS FADE

Stainless lines = better pedal response

180sx brakes+ stainless steel lines = tremendous improvement over stock

I picked up a set of 180sx brakes for $20, got the rotors resurfaced for $20, got new pads for $50 and had an extra set of 240sx stainless steel braided lines so I did the upgrade. Total cost: $90

For 5 lug just get 94 maxima rotors up front and s14 se rotors for the rear unless you go z32 brakes up front at the same time

If brakes need a replacing, Q45 is a direct bolt up, will need to drill rotors if you are 4 lug and are pretty beefy

i was going to do this upgrade previously but i stumbled into the q45 brake upgrade. u are getting a larger caliper and a larger rotor. i say do it if u already have the calipers and rotors. its not a tremendous increase but i would think you should be able to brake better irregardless.
