We just sent an entire SR back to Jazz pro....

Suggestions.....

Bug them untill you get an RA# to ship back.... Dont let them talk you into swapping, just get your money back....

PS. And then RUNNNNN!

Just tell them you won't stop bugging them until they give you what was advertised.

Oh great... I ordered an S14 swap from those guys and they've been giving me the run around about if they do or do not have it in stock. It was advertised as being in stock, but when I called to order it they said they were out. I put a deposit on one so that when the next shipment came in I would be first in line. Now they're saying they have one in the warehouse, but don't know what the hold up is.

I hope I'm not getting screwed too.

You know, I'm inclined to believe that LEGITIMATE companies wouldn't turn down an opportunity to support our community.

The fact that they're not interested in marketing to the largest grouping of 240sx owners in the world, tells me there's somethnig shady.

I hate hearing about this kind of thing. It’s not a good idea to burn someone who knows lots of other people who might buy the same things from your company, especially when the competition is nipping at your heels. I can only imagine how many importers there are out there for SR stuff who wouldn't even think about doing that.

Please keep me updated on your progress/situation with Jazz Pro. I'll do the same via email or post on here. I really hope those guys do the right thing and keep the customers/consumers happy by providing us with quality parts and decent customer support.

I will call them back tomorrow to check the status of my order and let you know what results I get.

Until then, good luck with getting the correct part.

You know guys, why did you just not stick with one of our sponsors... ??? You probably pay a little more but hey, alteast you get what you paid for and not a bunch of junk ending up costing much more at the end because everythings broke then if you were to just go with a reputable shop. If heavy throttle or enjuku have what I need, they are the only people I go to.

I needed an S14 notchtop swap. Enjuku usually only stocks S13 redtops and said that they would have to special order an S14 and really couldn't give me a definite time frame on when they could or when I could expect to receive it. HT said it would be 6 weeks or longer before they would even get any in, then the engines would have to be inspected etc. The price would be like 3600 for motor/trans.

I am on a budget, and in need of my car (sharing one vehicle with my wife).

Sooo, thats why I didn't go with a sponsor supplier.

However, I do buy ALL of my supporting hardware and misc. parts from Ray at Enjuku. He is extremely helpful and they are fast when it comes to getting the orders shipped out.

Wow, that sucks. Hope everything works out for you. I'm guilty of not buying from a nico sponsor also. Got my S14 notchtop front clip from ebay for $2,300 with a HUGE risk, only had about 15 feedbacks but with all positive feedbacks on selling various kinds of JDM front clips.

The post was geared more towards forksquared for what he wanted.

That's what that extra money's for though...peace of mind and low low low risk factors.

After that happens I bet they are going to put your turbo back on whatever SR they take the T25 off of. Then we'll all se this same thread again in like a month.

I ordered my SR redtop from them and got everything clean. The wiring harness was hacked all to hell but they sent me a OEM NEW Nissan harness still in the box with the engine. I didn't even have to call them. The only surprise I got was the Exedy clutch. It took about a week to get my engine. A friend ordered a H22 Honda motor and has it installed and has been beating the **** out of it with no problems. My brother (89'ClubK's) just ordered his CA18DET longblock from them. He ordered it last monday and rec'd a tracking # this monday on it from Overnite Trucking. Like most companies I've heard good and bad things about them. Modified Mag bought their S14 engine from them as well.

They are hard to get ahold of because I think they are collage students? I know the guy I was talking to didn't work tuesdays or thursdays because he had class. I don't think they check to see what turbo is on the engines. My brother told me about some guy getting a CA with a SR turbo already on it and didn't realize it till he went to change it to an SR turbo and realized then that he already had one.

However stir clear of companies with "JDM" in the name! Total JDM out of Canada took me for $2,100.00 so you know I was extremely cautious!

Well I spoke with the shipping guy at Jazz Pro earlier, and he told me that they do not actually have an S14 in house. So now we play the waiting game a while longer until a shipment comes in from Japan.

When asked when they expect to get the next shipment they could not give me an ETA.

If everyone crosses their fingers simultaneously maybe I can get the car running before Christmas LOL.

Yeah. When I originally ordered an engine it was suppose to be a Black top(hence my name), but they said they didn't have one right after I had called them about it. I really didn't have a hard time getting ahold of or talking to anybody.(Unlike TOTAL JDM) I hope to have my engine in by mid-april so I'll keep everyone informed on how it does.

Have them refund the money.

Don't play the waiting game.

http://www.240faq.com/swap.htm ... I typed out a little paragraph on buying engines.

Heres some shots of my motor.

The trans is off right now. Sending the flywheel to have it resurfaced. The turbo is a S14 T28 .60A/R that I got from my brother. He's running my SR S13 turbo on his CA. It has no shaft play (either turbo) and sounds great on his engine!!!!

***note***that rust pile (factory manifold) will be gone as well as the dump!!! S13 dump's don't fit S14 turbos?!

Thanks for your input guys. That looks like a clean redtop. I'm feeling a little better about Jazz Pro. Let us know how it goes when you get the motors installed and running.

Thanks again.

Hope to have everything installed by May. I get a couple extra pays then. My brother's CA18 long block arrives tomorrow! We'll have it in this weekend and I'll post how everything goes with it and post pics on how it looks. My friend compression checked his H22 and everything was perfect. Hopefully Jazz turns out to be a good source for engines.

Got my brothers CA18DET long block today!! Jazz Pro doesn't know what a long block is, but o'well!!! They sent everything, but the trans! Wiring harness, intake, exh manifold, turbo, PS pump and A/C comp. He's going to be really excited about the extra's! Turbo however is rebuildable but currently has alot of shaft play. He's got a T25 A/R .80 SR turbo anyway! And the engine is clean. Enough to eat off of.

Hey that's great! Sucks about the turbo, but with the extra stuff who cares. Post some pics when you get a chance please.

I have called about my S14 SR a couple of times and still no news other than the warehouse/shipping guy said that his boss's father died a couple days ago so things are a bit backed up. He assured me that I would get a very clean engine with everything I need and whenever he gets any news he'd call. Lets hope he's being honest.

Thanks for your help and posts guys.

Yeah we are going to mount it on a engine stand and clean it more. Also mount his turbo header, SR T25 and HKS (style) dump pipe. I'll try to get the pics on here Monday of next week!

Good luck with your S14 SR! I wish I could have gone with one, but didn't have the extra $$$$ at the time.

NICE. That's a nice turbo. I've got a S14 unit, that'll hopefully produce decent power. I'm not looking at monterous HP, but something peppy.LOL

I talked to Jeff at HT today. He's expecting to get some S14 SR's in within a week. I told him about my situation with Jazz Pro.

Anyway, if he confirms the arrival of the motors, I'm just going to get a refund from Jazz and pay the extra $$$ and get one from Jeff at HT.

Thanks everyone for the help/suggestions and moral support you guys are great.

I'll keep y'all posted on how the transactions go.

Brandon
