Some fun stuff going on out here in the desert...

Read this one first: http://www.azdisruptors.com/blog/2011/3 ... -scam.html

People don't like to be called out, and it seems they get even MORE fussy when they think they're important.

So, what do they do? They lawyer-up.

However, this is the Wild Wild West. We don't play that. Here's what you get when you threaten someone with a baseless lawsuit:

I know his lawyer enjoyed writing that. Don't start nothin, won't be nothin.I would have sued the law firm for illegally interfering with my livelihood by shutting down my website when they had no right or authority to do so. Punk bishez.

That's awesome. I enjoyed reading that. Hope that guy gets everything he deserves and more.

Seriously.... Building a 100,000 sq foot house with a basketball court, hiring Ludacris for your Christmas party? How does this guy even sleep at night?

Very well I am sure. That is soon to change, though.

I think he should contact LucasArts and see if the guy had the rights to the term "Jawa".

Doubtful - People like him have too big an ego for that... they think the rules don't apply to them.

Could not of said it better myself. Wonder how he even had access to Verizons database much less the resources to hack it, diguse the whole intrusion, and become a millionaire while doing it only until Verizon caught up to him, no one else was chasing him. Apparently he knew exactly what he was doing, and knew he could be possibly sued by Verizon, but in turn would be running a legit business. You have to cancel those subscriptions and anyone can sign up for it, maybe not even you.

Never know, 'hope' to see more about the lawsuit on CNN perhaps?

Best business man ever, or a highly smart con artist.

I do business with Honeywell and am always searching Honeywell Aerospace in the news to keep tabs on their global activies. A Jawa spam fisher popped up today in a Yahoo News search of Honeywell Aerospace. BUT the best part is they managed to mis-spell Honeywell LOL

^^^Wait... I'm slow... so does that mean someone from JAWA did a Yahoo News search on Honeywell, perhaps in investigation of this thread?!

I think it means Jawa allegedly has ads placed on search engines. If you allegedly click the Jawa ad/blog whatever you must enter your mobile phone number. Then when you do your signing up unwittingly for expensive texts.

Then allegedly its next to impossible to get the charges for these texts removed from your alleged phone bill.

The funny thing is Honeywell is mis-spelled LOL

Reading the comments AFTER the article is very telling... The JAWA/Hope supporters come off as, shall we say, less-than-intelligent...
