I just revisited his website. He has the numbers for all of his cars. His Y33's best 0-60 time was 5.3s - AMAZING! Now the Y33 guys have a goal.

I actually saw that car on the road near LAX. It's the ONLY other modded Y33 I've ever seen on the road.

I thought the EXACT same thing. I'm a fan of the 97-01's and think they're good looking and have performance abilities, but his stories make me wanna cry .

I dont understand why this photo is there...

While its not my color, I definitely wouldnt call that ugly. Other than wheels, tires, and the wing, it doesnt look tremendously different from his.

I tried reading the stories just now but it was too nauseating to get through the first few sentences. I dont doubt its performance though.

Well Falk ... call me cynical or just perhaps a realist ...

But what ive found ... is its not the length and girth of ones particular anatomy, nor the stylishness or HP of ones car that helps with the types of hotties he's likely running with - but its the GIRTH of the WALLET. Homie appears to be yet another mid 90's INTERNET stars - with plenty o cash to burn ... too bad his only Q45 story is about some 1/2 a$$ wimpy bumper to bumper accont of BREAKING OFF a friggin P/U Truck ....

Wooooo Hooooo ....

Dudes a lamer w/ no GNADS i thats his best Q45 story ... pfffft

His story wrote: Here's a good shot of the duals. You will NOT see this on ANY Q of ANY year. Just take a look the next time you see another Q on the road!
And then there's this ...zerothread?id=104472

Looks like duals on that Q?? And I'm rpetty sure I've seen them on other Q's but that may be rom yahoo.jp and I'll give him that, as they aren't in the US.

I think the stock Y33 Q is nice looking, it's what drew me to the car in the first place. Both of the F50's at STI the other night had dual exhausts. They are going to do a SS Magnaflow with nice Magnaflow tips for me very soon.

Now that I think aout it, I had a great pic of a Y33 rear with duals. I've always wanted to do soemthing like that on my Q, but will wait to see if I ever need new exhaust first.

I thought about doing dual exhausts on my Y33 when I did mine. However, because of the spare tire space on the Y33 is not at the center but to the right side of the trunk, it is impossible to make both muffler symmetrical. My car actually has dual exhausts but I just put them on one side because of that reason. If you guys look closely at his Y33, you'll see that the right tip is closer to the side than the left tip.

You are correct sir.

When the Member's Rides section is back up, I'll look to see if I can find the one I used to have.

Has anybody heard of the "JAM" injectors he is using? Is there tradeoff between milage and performance?

Another undocumented reference that makes me wonder about his claims.

Brian, much to my surprize,I saw a FSM for the 02-05 q45 showing the exhaust joins after the header downpipes into a single pipe- then splits into 2 to feed rear section-maybe the first series of q without a true dual exhaust system................. cost cutting?

Yep, there it is on Page EX-3 in my 2003 FSM. Looks like the pipe is sized-up as is the resonator, but still not a true dual. Who knows why, but it looks a lot like the VQ35DE exhaust.

I'm keeping the old VH4xDE cars.

Sorry, I didn't mean that. All the Q's have dual exhausts but share only one muffler. I meant my Y33 has dual mufflers.

wow, that is really impressive! thank you for directing me/everyone to the photos.i have often wondered what it would be like to split the exhaust for real "dual"pipes on my y33; of course, just the thought of it made my wallet feel empty lolso i never really have done anything but daydream.... i'm soo used to seeing thedual exhaust on the tired ls400/430 and these pix confirmed for me what i suspected-the 2nd gen Q w/ such a dual-redo is absolutely SMOKIN looking! -except the fact(which i never considered b4..) that due to the spare, as 97Q45t observed, thepipes are NOT equidistant and thus visually (imo) it's just not "satisfying" to knowtheyr'e a bit off... i'm very neurotic and this would bother me 1000000%!

i must add....a stock Q, no matter what year color or even condition.....is ANYTHING butugly! (his photo commentary is a disapointing and surprising viewpoint from a Q-owner,although i do like the mods very much- wld anyone say a stock S-class is ugly? the Q & the MB are stately 100% stock, and beautiful. factory orig, isn't 4 everyone, that;s great too, but a bias against the marque's orig. look seems strange from an Infiniti owner/enthusiast) oh well, diff strokes

regardzzz,
