hey guys, I moved to Tokyo a few months ago, and I've been seeing their style of fixing up S.U.V's and was wondering what other people state side think of their wheel choices? here are a few examples.

Gram Lights for the PF......

I really don't like any of the wheels that have the wheel bolts (real or fake) for the multi-piece appearance.

That last two are the best out of the 4 IMO, but again, see above comment about wheel bolts.

Those blue look beat.

Not a huge fan of the blue but i would do anything to get the rims in the second picture!

Can't really find rims like that here in the US.

If I told you how much those wheels were, you'd want to buy 2 sets.

I think I like these too, but I've never seen them on a R50 so its hard to determine if they'd look right?

or these

These look absolutely fabulous. I know there are white, but the color doesn't matter because they are just so cool. AFter putting those on the PF, I would want to go race it in the JTCC. I guess I would have to run in the 500 class.

What's the name of the big Japanese tuner store? (Super) Autobacs. That place has everything. Isn't there one in California?

It is currently powering an '04 GTI. The only changed is the turbo inlet pipe. I went with a one piece silicone hose. I was amazed at the 85* bend the stock pipe had on it. I'm not made of cash like other, younger, GTI owners, so modifing hasn't been extensive.

A chip and TBE would probably do it for me. The car is out of warranty (by time), so the only thing stopping me is $$$$.

well, I am actually starting to sell parts and ship stuff back to the us. wheels shipped to the west coast usually runs $30-40 pr wheel w/o tire

I think I'm going to pick up a set for my dad's hardbody....I'm still stumped on if I should send him a set for my R50, or if I should trade it in for a 08?
