So I keep getting these two messages popping up on my little message centre in the President. It is normally a trip odometer but also tells you when a door is open etc.I'm trying to figure out what triggers it, because it stays on all day sometimes, and then I get an "OK" message and it goes back to normal. This is the same message centre as the Inifinti Q45, but it's in Japanese.

The first pic is the message that stays on, then if I press the trip reset button the message changes, then if I press it again I get my trip odometer, then if I leave it it goes back to the first message. Then sometimes I don't see the message for several days.

I'm a little concerned, but I know I have some issues to figure out with the car already, so I was gonna see if it still pops up after I fix those (the ACTSUS is offline, the TCS lights come one because a speed sensor needs replacing, and the airbag steering wheel is out)

Anyone read Japanese, or know from their own Q45 what they might mean? Thanks!

Thanks Paul, though I'll have to do the diagnostic with my japanese buddy, for obvious reasons! I'd ask him about my pics but I haven't had time to see him lately.

Sometimes it could be giving you a brake light message. I could be a bad bulb in the third brake light. That was the cause of mine. You wouldn't be able to tell by look at the lights because the other one will illuminate, but in my case, the second bulb was the issue and kept triggering it. It would go from the error message to saying OK all the time.

If you can't find a JDM Service manual for your car, You might try using the LCD display from the USDM Q45. Or if you don't know how to do iy then just use the whole instrument cluster, But you will lose the Gear indicator.

Hope it fixes it. I'm pretty sure that it's the "Stop Lamp Inoperable" message. If it's not the bulb itself, it could also be the socket. Check the connector for burns.

I'm Japanese, so I understand what it says.

It said your brake light bulb is out(on your first pic), so you should change it(on your second pic).

I didn't know President has electric display in Japanese. That's cool!!!

That's how the VIP cars are LOL.
