Japanese parts on Versa ?

Just wondering really ,How many parts are japanese on the versa,I know they are all built in mexico,Are the parts shipped and then put to gether ?

Sourcing of parts is more complicated than that. Many parts are sourced right there in Mexico, but a good percentage of them are delivered by Japanese companies operating in Mexico who then subcontract to Mexican companies. Many of the engine parts are shipped from Japan, but some parts actually come from the United States. The bottom line is that Nissan wants to source as high a percentage of parts locally as possible, and that percentage is constantly changing.
