Guys,

The guy who owned my 92 240 before me, put on a full on, imported from Japan drifting setup on it. It has kgmm springs and bilstein sport shocks. The ride is much too harsh for my own street / track driving, so I want to get rid of it.

First off all, what's a used drifting setup worth? I figure the springs are worth the most, being as they don't really change much over time. The shocks are still in decent condition. Do any of you know what a true JDM, drifting shock / strut combo is worth?

Just as much as a stiff track/street suspension if you ask me. As far as I am concerened there is no such thing as a true drift suspension. Most of the people I know that drift use the same suspension set-ups for the track.

what kind of kg/mm springs do you have? I had the blue ones before with some japanese shocks. the ride was stiff as hell, because i was riding on the bumpstops the whole time. Basically i was somewhate bottoming out. you should check to see if you have any travel for the shock and bumpstops. the kg/mm springs were made for track use, the cornering with these springs are excellent with minimal body roll. the only problem is that there are a lot of shocks out in the market that are (standard) long stroke shocks. to fully utilize the springs' potential you need to use short-stroke shocks. dunno if they even make any at all.

I have the blue ones, with Bilstein "sport" shocks. My car is riding on the bump stops too because the guy who owned it before me, obviously had no idea how to properly setup a suspension.

What did you end up doing for your suspension setup? I'm looking at getting some coil-overs, as soon as I figure out which kind are going to give the best ride quality.
