http://www.japanmotorimport.com/Has anyone ever had experience with these guys? Im going to order a SR20 soon and my friend showed me this site. They seem reliable since they provide the compression ratings of their engines, but its the internet. They could say anything lol. I hear alot of bad things about Tiger Japanese, so I was wondering if anyone ordered from here?

I'm not sure but I think they sold my friend a blown T2 RX-7 engine. It is rotary so idk but I'm sure someone has some experience with them on here. Remember though, you get what you pay for.

They give the stock compression rating, but not results of a compression test. The info your looking at is quite basic.

If you want a well known, guaranteed engine with EVERYTHING. Call nick or Anthony at EliteJDM. Its the largest warehouse on the east coast. I live 3 miles from them and they do things the right way.

Buy from J-Hot. You can't go wrong with J-Hot. I bought my s14 sr from them and it was perfect. J-Hot also wont give you the 40k miles on the engine bull crap. I also only payed 2025 for the whole engine set, along with some extras like hks filter, fuel pump, stock intercooler set-up, and vin tag from the original car. J-Hot is also an American based company so if anything dose go wrong you may have some legal leverage.

I'm not sure if its because im at school and we have s***ty f***ing computers here, but I havent found anything on these sites about buying and SR20. Most of their link don't even work, but then again it could be these computers. Ill check when I get home but thanks for the help.

Elite JDM has a showroom, they participate in event, they aren't just a website. The guys are great.

They also have their own Forum, but here is a link to some of their shop photos.

The owner goes over to Japan, buys the running cars, not junk cars, checks them out, and then has them cut loaded and shipped to the US. He hand picks everything he has. Guarantees the stuff he sells, and gives you absolutely everything you need to do the swap.

I would recommend picking up a engine from somewhere local, and within driving distance.

That way they can do the compression test for you in person, and you can also thoroughly inspect the engine.

Good s*** bro, I'll most likely be ordering from them. Thanks I would rather be recommened somewhere further where I know the quality is great and pay more. Then to deal with the bull here in Michigan, I dont really like the tuner scene here but i love the state lol
