$800 shipped is getting closer, I suppose. Out of curiosity, what should the labor time be for a shop to do all 4 corners? It's cold and I don't have a garage.

I'll start a thread in the J30 section so we can see how many are interested.

Thanks for the reply. One other question, would a four wheel alignment be needed after replacing the shocks on a 94 J30T with HICAS? Also, has anyone got any quotes on about what a shop would charge for labor if the customer supplied the parts?

I am in serious need of new shocks for my J30. I am not keen on paying the $700+ for them, however.

I would gladly commit to buying a set if we could get a better deal going here.

Pretty sure you'd need a four wheel alignment, yeah.

And I doubt it will get below $700...seeing as he said $800 shipped with 5 people comitted to buying.Of course, if you get the kit without all the rubber stuff, it's like $620, so that's already a good deal less expensive.

But that is a real false economy to reinstall old parts and have to repeat the even more expensive labor soon.
