I agree that the halftime show was worthless...... It was just like listening to the CD.. NO SINGING!!!

This was one of the best superbowl (the game), but one of the worst halftime shows... CBS said they will never let MTV to another halftime show... I have to ask why they let them in the first place.....

Because both CBS and MTV are owned by Viacom. By the way some of the CBS commercials were also unsuitable for family viewership. for excample, that ad for that Van HussaWhachamacallit, the movie involving vampires, werewolves was surprisingly violent. But we live in an odd society that sees little problem in killing/maming people, but a big problem glancing at a womans meat pillow. go figure

I do think Janet's boob was the worst part (I can't imagine being a parent watching that with my kids)But Janet's backup dancers come in a close second, I saw one GUY wearing a leather corset and another GUY wearing a garter belt and stockings.......

Well, I watched that SuperBowel including that crappy half timeshow with my 10 yr old son. I think most of you guys who were most "offended" by Janet's bewbie forget, her breast was on camera for all of about a second, and most of it was covered by that tacky nipple ring or her hand, and CBS downplayed it when it happened. That hooter didn't make much of an impression on my son. Our wonderful press corps, who naturally works solely in the public interest and doesn't mean to publish...uh..titillating images in order to gain ratings, made this much bigger the next day by replaying in 50,000,000 times non-stop with slo-mo and closeups, with endless discussion about it.

But that 30 second Van Husseing commercial was another story. That was far worse. The fangs, the vampires chomping down on people's necks with blood spurting, the violence, that made a much bigger impression on my son. He was far more disturbed by the graphic images on that commercial than he was with a one second long distance glimpse of partially obscured nipple I'm amazed how desensitized we Americans are to violence and gore. and how obssessed and sensitive we are to nipples. I'm sure nipples are going to ruin our society... c'mon guys.
