This past weekend I took the 07 for a trip up to Northern Vermont. For those with good memories, I wrote to the forum several months ago asking for help with an issue I had with my cruise control acting like a nasty Jake Brake while coming down long hills on an interstate. My friends on this blog suggested a recent software upate which I had done soon after. I'm glad to report that it worked, no more dramatic slow downs in CC going down long, steep hills. This is just informational for any others that may be experiencing this.P.S. Trip computer = 24.9 mpg

Thanks for posting! I'm bringing my car to the dealer this week to take care of some warranty issues, and I'll have them look at the cruise control too.

That ICC re-flash was a needed service I know we had replaced a few ICC radar units for this very interesting issue. The software update is only for the early 07 sedans that have ICC. I don't know if you have one but the Coupe in your pic doesn't have that. Sorry to rain on your easy fix parade. What type of issue are you having with it?

Steve, I guess I wasn't very clear. Several months ago as I was coming home from VT, I was on the interstate with the cruise set at 75. Whenever I would start down a long steep hill and the car would exceed the speed that the CC was set at, it would dramatically try to bring the car back to the set speed and would actually throw you forward in the seat. If I didn't know better, I would say it was on the brakes. It was like a strong Jake Brake in a semi. There was a service bulletin about reprogramming the valve timing that I had performed and last weekend was the first time I was on long steep hills at highway speeds since that was done. I have an early 2007 G35X sedan, it's not a coupe and it does not have the Technology package. Thanks for your feedback.

^ He's trying to pick on me...

My issue is it's noticeable when the cruise control cuts the fuel (like on a hill). But, then again my gas pedal doesn't feel like a brick like the 07 "super fast" sedans

I spent three days attempting to duplicate the exact condition you were describing, damn DC traffic. When it does happen its really interesting. Its like the VDC and ICC are fighting it out. It seems like the update added something to account for steep hills at speed, sounds like something they should have found in R&D. The ICC does have the capability to apply ~80% of brake pedal force, and the new systems have the ability to do so much more.
