I love me some GT cars, Jag XK, Aston DB9, Maser GT, etc... But while cruising around the net a few weeks ago I came across this bit of bad news. Because of the F-Type stealing sales, Jag is phasing out the XK this summer. The last run of cars are being sold now. In similar fashion to when the E-Type was phased out, they're producing 50 special edition cars - 25 coupe XKR's and 25 Vert XKR's.

The XK is one of the most beautiful GTs ever made. We had one at the shop back in the spring. In person with the top down, the convertible's wide hips look spectacular. Photos don't do it justice.

This, alongside the Cadillac XLR, are a part of my dream garage.

I didn't realize Jeeeeeaaaaag was still making the XK after the F-type came out. Agree about the XK being sexy, though not as sexy as the original E-type. Unfortunately, Jag's decision not to offer a man pedal in their US versions of the modern XK's was a dealbreaker for making my dream garage.

The XK with a manual would have been great, but is certainly no deal breaker for me.
With the XK no longer being produced, I wonder how much effect it will have on the resale?

I suspect not very much as Jeeaaaag's currently building a updated version of it, plus they built a lot of XK's.

One of my parents' neighbors has an XKR, and it looks and sounds so good it should probably come with a Surgeon General's Warning of some sort.

My dislike for 2+2s and convertibles has always kept it from being on my Must Have List, but it's certainly a car I would love to own.

The F-type, on the other hand, is way, way, way up on my list.
