All my that my Tech did was turn the adjustment knob on the inside panel of the car---close to the left side of your left foot. That was it! The tighter the adjustment, the more it will have that 2/3 way up effect. So, the shop that installed the clutch, need to loosen up the clutch adjustment a little. It is probably about no more than 2 clicks backwards or forward--I am not sure about this.
With the way it is right now, you must clutch and literally dump it everytime--no slow/easing off technique once you have that 2/3 way up effect, else you will slowly burn that clutch. Eventually, the pedal will start coming up fully by itself for most of the time. It does feel uncomfortable with the way it is right now, but after a while, you get used to it.
In fact, with the tighter settings, if you ease off the clutch nicely all the time or drive normally, you may actually burn the clutch and you will start smelling the burnt clutch smell. The opposite is with the normal clutch adjustment that will burn or cause the clutch to slip under heavy acceleration or hard driving. Because I drive the car hard all the time, there is no point with me having the normal adjustment.
