Ok, I let my friend test drive my car, he misshifts 4 times in a row without the clutch being completely disengaged in second gear. My car shifted like butter untill he did it. Now everytime I shift to second, it makes a nasty grinding sound and I have to force it in!!! Damn, this sucks, he has a 11 sec gsx and I thought he at least knew how to drive. That just shows you being a nice friend just gets your screwed over with car issues. Everytime I shift to second now, it reminds me and PISSES me off. BTW, I think my maf is bad, my car stalls when I start it or stop, it runs super lean sometimes and losses power or runs pig rich. I have a safc and a wideband and it's not the bov, because it was working fine before, any ideas??

must be the MAF. bad MAF will give you retarded readings of air.

if you have an SAFC you can go into monitoring mode and view the voltage out from the MAF (AF1) and the Throttle position sensor voltags (Thr)

I'd monitor those, when your car starts running rich check to see if your TPS is reading too high causing your computer to add too much fuel or if you're getting an irregular reading from your MAF.

has it done this all along or just started recently? How is your MAF wired? Is it just the stock MAF or did you upgrade to a different one?
