I am about to work on rear subframe of S14, 96Don't know which are the good spots to jack-up and to put jack stands.

1. Where i should put the jack in order to lift up the car ? (pls, tell me for both front and rear)(the spots in the manual are look like blade to me; I'm sure that it will bentif I jack up that spot, and if I put the jack there, i don't think there is enough space left for put the jack-stand in)

2. After I lift the car (rear/front) where I should put the jacks stand to support the car.

pictures would be awesome.because a picture worthes 1000 words, doesn't it :-)

I know this question is toooo easy for you guys, but I justdon't have luck from searching.

Thanks Thanks..

A lot of people jack cars where two frame plates are welded together.DO NOT DO THAT. It will bend the welding joing and dent the body from under, can even bend it so that you can't take off the front fender bolts.

Jack the car from the front cross member near the oil pan. DO NOT JACK THE OIL PAN! It will break the oil pan and possibly the pump and engine.

Jack the car from the side past the welding and under the two frame lines that run along side the transmission & drive shaft. It is better to lift with two jacks than to put all pressure on a small jack.

Jack the car from the rear where the suspension arm meets the body frame. Be careful not to apply all the pressure on one tiny spot. I prefer to use wood blocks or rubber blocks. Using common sense and not jacking the fuel tank and lines help too.

The front and reat bumpers, tow hooks are NOT TO BE JACKED. Do not jack from the frame under the radiator.
