jack, spare tire rod, lug wrench

I am in need of a jack, spare tire rod, and lug wrench for my 2000 Frontier 4wd crewcab. Any chance that other makes or models might work?

Those will be useful, but I'd also consider carrying a star lug wrench with a 13/16 (or 21mm) end, or a breaker bar with a 21mm socket. The factory lug wrench is really short and will not work at all if you've upgraded to aftermarket wheels with a little deeper dish.
