Jack's for 89 240sx

Whats the right jack to use for a 89 240sx ...tried a hydraulic scissor jack and it didnt work ...and do you have to jack it fomr the middle of the wheels to change one tire? was looking at repair manual and didnt really explain it much.

look more carefully, there are two round bumps under each side, one near the front wheel, one near the rear, use those points to jack up the car.
