How the hell do you remove the jack from its base on a g 35 sedan??? I tried turning it, moving it up and down etc. The manual gives you no clue, I tried doing a search with nothing

Sorry I can't help as I have too much stuff in my trunk to look at mine. The thought never entered my mind as jacks supplied with most vehicles are dangerous to use. I have a 4 ton hydraulic jack that I use for rotating tires and changing oil.I have Infiniti roadside service under my warranty as well as I belong to AAA. I would never change a tire on the side of a road as it is just too dangerous.

Why not stop by a dealer & let them show you how to remove the jack?

Perhaps you'll then tell us about your new purchase?

Try twising the jack knob (the knob that you turn on the jack to raise and lower it) - twist the know so that the jack lowers or compresses - see if that works.

^ That's how it works in the coupe. Just turn the knob to compress the jack, then when you put it in, turn the knob again to expand the jack so it doesn't move around in the mount.

im with you... i tryed to remove it just to see what im working with... to see if i should get a better jack... i had no luck either... i tryed to turn the knob... i doubt my jack in my 2005 car has ever been used... i couldnt turn the knob for nothing... my full sized spare looked factory new... this post has encouraged me to try again

I was thinking of removing the spare tire and jack for weight reasons... but the trunk basicly sits on top of the spare tire... are there hard/stiff trunk liners for the g35 sedan?
