Jack removal g35 sedan?????

Im not a complete idiot, but how the F%#@ do you remove the jack from the base on the side of the trunk? I tried twisting it, moving it up and down etc....

You're going to hate yourself when you hear this.

Twist the screw mechanism as if you were lowering the car. When you do that, it will release.
