I have a 2007 Pathfinder LE with OEM running boards. I need to change one of the rear tires and it seems that the running boards are covering the normal jack points both front and rear. All I have currently is the scissor jack that comes with the vehicle. Could someone point me at a photo showing where to place the jack in this situation.

Look a little further in and you'll see a cup on the bottom of the frame rail. The R50 didn't come with a scizzor jack it came with a small bottle jack.

Mine came with a scissor jack, not a bottle jack. The jack lift plate has a gap in the center of the lifting pad which would appear to be for the frame rail to fit into. However, the space between the inside of the running board and the frame rail seems to be too narrow to allow the jack plate to slip on the frame rail. I must be missing something????

Our 3.5s had scissor jacks but I got a bottle jack from a 3.3 in the junkyard. I was able to use both styles with no issues.
It's just that the scissor jack could be used to lift my sedans way into the air, and the bottle jack makes a good blow hammer... But both were good jacks.

As a General rule, avoid the running boards.
The jacking points do exist but are kind of far inwards compared to passenger sedans with no running boards. From the in case of emergency section of the owner's manual, see if this image helps:

Well, I stand corrected. The 97-99 QX4s come with a bottle jack, but I guess some others come with a scissor. However, those look like the same jack points.
