Our 3.5s had scissor jacks but I got a bottle jack from a 3.3 in the junkyard. I was able to use both styles with no issues.
It's just that the scissor jack could be used to lift my sedans way into the air, and the bottle jack makes a good blow hammer... But both were good jacks.
As a General rule, avoid the running boards.
The jacking points do exist but are kind of far inwards compared to passenger sedans with no running boards. From the
