When I was helping my daughter ship her 2000 Q45T to Guam I noticed the car jack was in the trunk but no jack handle or lug wrench. The lug wrench wouldn't be a problem, just buy a universal one or use a socket wrench, but I don't even know what the jack handle looks like to try to find or make one. Could someone take a picture of the jack handle and lug wrench if it is anything special and post it? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the picture. Looks like all I have to do I bend a hook onto the end of a rod, or just get a real big eye bolt and cut part of it off.

If you have any salvage yards nearby, I think I would try that first. Surely someone will sell you those for next to nothing... I can't imagine there's much demand for them. Or check in our classifieds for a part out. Paul Wall may have them from his part out - I think they're the same.

I wish but I think 1990-1996 Has thicker metal, Because of the differnt part numbers in Nissan FAST.

Just kidding

But I should have kept it, But I don't remmber if the car had them. I remmber trying to tow the car with a flat and we used the spare tire and as soon as the car was lowered the spare tire blew. So we ended up towing the car with rear wheel down on the ground.

Ask your daughter to double-check the trunk. The black pouch for the tire wrench is usually under the jack and sometimes placed under or besides the spare tire. If not, salvage yard is the way to go. I got an extra set from a junk yard several years ago for @ $5. An extra jack comes in handy especially when doing under-body work.

Please tell me you're using jack stands! The OEM jacks are notoriously flimsy. Even with jack stands, I would be nervous... Heath

Jack stands all the time, even when changing tires. It's my life that's at risk anytime I go under a raised car.

yeah I trashed the OEM jack, you'd be better off getting one of those small bottle jacks rather than using that flimsy OEM jack... and its a royal PITA to use..

But I wont be changing a tire anyway on the side of the road, thank you AAA!

I have a 3-ton floor jack, a 10-ton bottle jack, a regular screw jack, a pair of jack stands and a pair of ramps which I use as needed. I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Should I buy one of these old timers. Looks like some of them are made better than what you comes with cars today.http://orangecounty.craigslist....html
