Well, this is how she looks as of the 20th of May:

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/20052007.jpg.html

The custom driveshaft (3" diameter)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/2....html

The HID kit, 8000K 9006 set, the high beams are regular bulbs (xenons though):

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/2....html

this is what it is in the box:

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/2....html

The exhaust pipe that drove me crazy, i changed it, notice the bend is not exactly 90 degrees, that was the cause of it falling off the turbo exhaust when i hit a bump (the angle is not correct, which makes the exhaust pipe closer to the ground, you get the idea)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/24052007.jpg.html

this is the automatic transmission filter (old one)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/3....html

this is the transmission pan from inside (work was done last night....lool), notice the circular looking thing, that is a magnet, it catches the metal shavings that the transmission produces over time.... (it is normal, but too much is not good, nor normal)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/3....html

New filter vs. old filter....

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/3....htmlh ... /3....html

what the filter has from inside (it is a fine metal mesh)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/3....html

the new filter installed, it was simple, 4 bolts X 10mm and it came out

Update:

found out that my BOV's are stuck (jamed), so i've been killing my turbos for some time now (thank god i wasnt pushing it much, but that does not assure that the turbos are ok), so i got a new set from ebay, awaiting shipping...... the shop i bought the old BOV's from blamed me for them getting jamed, i have no idea how, but one piece of advice, dont buy used BOV's, only buy new, and good quality ones so you wont loose the turbos

transmisson cooler is installed, it was relitavely easy, i installed it on the front lower centre (behind the bumper, mounted it on the rad support to give it more space to breath), pictures to come

relocated the battery to the trunk, the trunk is already small, so now it is even smaller, but i have no choice if i want to install the intercoolers, as i need space on both sides of the engine.... i ran the battery wire along the fuel lines on the passenger side all the way to the trunk (that was not easy), again more pics to come

intercoolers are ready, piping is ready, all i'm waiting for now is the new BOVs (SSQV), and some 2" mandrel bends so i can start working on them, also finding the correct mounting brackets for the intercoolers (i guess home depot is about to make some money soon....loool)........ i'll attempt to remove the fenders and the front facia to make the installation easier. hopefully, everything will be ready by the weekend.......

Yeah, the first time it doesn't go PPpssshh you know something is wrong. And by looking at the boost gauge. (A must for a turbocharged car IMO)

Ya man, I was under the assumption you had a boost gauge. If you don't I would recommend getting one ASAP. I've owned 2 modified turbocharged cars, and both had gauges!

i admit it completely, the worst part is that i have a boost gauge, but since it was on safety boost (6-7 PSI) with my boost controller off untill the install of the intercoolers (otherwise the engine would detonate), i didnt think it is that important to install...... i connected once about a month back (with a boost hose running over the hood and through the window to the driver side....loool, by no means a professional installation or even close, it was for testing purposes only) to test the boost, the turbos are boosting up to 6-7psi (safety boost, so waste gates start to open at around 6psi), so i removed the gauge thinking that everything is okay, but i guess i was wrong....

i'm not driving the car untill this is done, i dont want to go through driving and reliving this nightmare.....

by the way, any suggestions on where to install the boost gauge?, i'm going for 3 gauges, air/fuel mixture, oil pressure, and boost gauge (all autometer, same model, same color).... but i want to keep the sleeper look, any suggestions would be appreciated

You can skip the AF unless you install a broadband O2 sensor.Mounting's always a bit iffy in modern cars; you may want to look into adapting a pillar mount.

UPDATE:

took out the bumper a couple of days ago to find a good (solid) placce to mount the intercoolers perminantely.... i found the best place to be in front of each tire (the brackets where the J gets towed from).... i didnt finish the install because of the upcoming exams... none the less, here is a pic

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/PICT2019.JPG.html

the transmission oil cooler is installed, it is a B&M, came with mounting brackets and hoses.... here is a pic of it installed (it is tilted, the top is towards the front)

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/PICT2025.JPG.html

got the tension rod bushings, took the tension rods out to press out the old ones and install the new ones... i found it very interesting that the new ones (polyurethane) come in three parts (as shown), which made installing them a very easy taskalso got a climate control unit from ebay, havent gotten to that install yet, but found all the lights burnt (the green lights), what is the bulbs number again, and where can i get it from??

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/P...82b3a

here are the new BOV's:

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/0....html

the intercoolers....

http://q45.org/gallery/v/car/0....html

and finally, i found a body shop, i'll drop her off next monday, and pick her up the monday after (seems like it is going to be a lot of work....loool)

well that is about it for now, more updates are to come withen the next couple of weeks

i can get the recirc. kit for the BOVs that i have now, but i honestly havent thought of it yet, but thank you wes for bringing that up

explination:

nissans use the MAF (mass air flow) system, which measures the amount of air entering the system. the nissan turbo engines use the same system, which calculates the amount of boost entering (i'm actually using the same MAF to run the tt engine, it is good for up to 450 brake horses, my aim is 400-410), so once the boost is no longer needed (when you let off the gas), it exits from the BOVs to save the turbos from spinning the other way, and causing strain on the compressor fins and/or a lot worst....... now the amount of air that is exiting the system via BOV's has already been accounted for by the MAF, which means it has been accounted for but not been used, so in other words, the engine will send more gas than it needs, and run rough or rich between gears and when the throttle is closed...... so it is better to use recirculating BOVs.... what they do is, they redirect the air exiting the system to go to the (after MAF but before compression) stage, which means that it is still in the system and awaiting to be used.....

i'm pretty sure that most of you have gotten bored from this project, so i promise that i'll make it more exciting.... i'll keep it a surprize

No please dont leave details out. I like going through them to make sure its well sorted and also it may help someone else out later.

You will need the recirc kit for the reasons listed. Unless of course you switch to a blow-through MAF but that wouldnt be worth it just to run non recirculated BOVs. Just recirc the BOV and youll be fine.
