I posted these in classifieds without response, so before I go to Ebay, I'm wondering if any of you J guys are looking for a clean set of J30t wheels. My J is long gone, but these wheels are still around, I need to get rid of them.

Let's say $75 and shipping for the set.

Wheels and center caps, no tires.

(Tyger, I hope you don't mind the misplaced post)

Um, thanks for the threadj...er bump(?).

And yes, they would fit fine, it's just a matter of offsets. I can't remember what the J offsets were, but Qs range from +30 - +40.

With a guesstimated weight of 44 lbs and a 15 inch cubed box, the cost of $52.34 x 2 to 98281 via UPS.

They are not bent. And if you're interested, I'll get you pictures of any blemishes.

I should be able to get pictures this weekend, if I'm not in the office.

Meaning have they faded? If that's it, as I recall they look fine, but I haven't seen them in a while. I took these wheels off in favor of J30 wheels when I first got the car.

You took expensive J30T forged wheels off and replaced them with J30 cast wheels?

I did. The forged wheels aren't significantly lighter, and I find them significantly less attractive. Expense seems irrelevant.

I had a set of OZ Operas on before that, but they were damaged. They were significantly more attractive than either, if a little heavier.

They are at least 8 lbs lighter which IS significant when it comes to unsprung weight but whatever blows your skirt up.

I agree, 8 lbs of unsprung weight at a corner is significant for acceleration and braking. I didn't take any empirical measurements, so I won't disagree, but they certainly didn't feel that much lighter.

Do you have any? I can't imagine that the 15 inch cast wheels weigh more than 20lbs.

15 lbs is what the forged wheel weighs on a bathroom scale. That's admittedly quite light weight. I do not, however, have a cast wheel to compare. I would guess 20 lbs, but 23 isn't outside the realm of possibility.

28 lbs, I believe is the weight of an 18 inch FX wheel. I have a set of those, too, but didn't think to weigh one this afternoon.

It's more like 12 for the forged and 20 for the cast. Your bathroom scale is, well, a bathroom scale. (Not legal for trade)
